Automotive Manufacturing Facility — Tangier Automotive City

Context & client needs

As part of its North African expansion strategy, TE Connectivity initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant dedicated to high-precision automotive wiring and connectors inside Tangier Automotive City (TAC).

The operational challenge

Deliver an industrial manufacturing complex meeting TE's global standards under an exceptionally aggressive timeline (7 months, April to November 2018), requiring overlapping civil engineering, technical utilities, and machine transfer preparation.

Universal Integration scope of work

Full Built-to-Suit integration: bulk earthworks, structural concrete, long-span structural steel framing, NFPA-certified sprinkler networks, MV/LV power infrastructure, centralized compressed air, anti-static epoxy flooring, and executive office fit-out.

Solutions & systems delivered

Architectural design and structural engineering optimized for natural illumination and thermal comfort
Triple-shift construction scheduling ensuring critical machinery arrival milestone in October
High-flatness anti-static epoxy flooring suitable for AGV and wire-guided logistics
Dedicated 22 kV electrical substation with immediate-start emergency backup generators
Looped compressed air network with 0.01 µm oil-free filtration for precision connector injection molding

Milestones & site timeline
